Animals, plants, and fungi depend on this humble tree, but its future—and theirs—is all but certain.

Lloyd Kenyon and his wife Sally will be well known to members who attend IOS and IDS events, and together they planted a diverse collection of oaks at the Gredington Estate. which the IOS was privileged to visit in 2015.

Everyone who knew him will thus be as shocked and saddened as I was to learn of Lloyd’s recent death after a short illness.

Lloyd’s funeral will take place near his home on Friday, August 30, at St. Chad’s Church, Hanmer, Whitchurch, UK. I know that all will join with me in expressing our deepest sympathies to Sally and their family.
