IOS Webinar #9. Acute Oak Decline and the Oak Collection at Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden

The IOS is pleased to announce our next virtual event, again co-hosted with the Global Conservation Consortium for Oak (GCCO), which will take place over Zoom at 9 am US Central Time on August 27, 2025

In this webinar we will first hear from Dr. Sandra Denman, Senior Researcher at Forest Research, UK, who will present about latest research on Acute Oak Decline in the UK, under the title: "Changed behaviours with a damaging outcome: Experiences of Acute Oak Decline research on environment-host-pest-microbe relationships."

During the second part of the webinar, Dr. Yi-Gang Song of Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden will present an overview of the garden's oak collection, which includes a newly planted national avenue of oaks and oak conservation areas in the Fagaceae Specialized Garden, built in 2020. Following the presentations there will be Q&A.
